Daniel C. Kamman earned the rank of Eagle Scout on January 8. Daniel, a Brookhaven resident, is a member of BSA Troop 77, chartered to Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Decatur. He has been an active Scout since 2001 and a member of Troop 77 since 2005.

Daniel has had a very full scouting career over the span of his last 10 years as a Scout. He has attended all Scout high adventure bases in Minnesota and Canada, Florida and New Mexico. He returned to the ever-popular Philmont Scout Reservation three times. Since 2005, he has held several leadership positions in his Troop, in addition to having leadership roles at the National Jamboree in Virginia in 2010 and the World Jamboree in Sweden in 2011. Daniel has earned well over the required merit badges along with numerous other awards.
Daniel’s Eagle Project consisted of building four picnic tables, building a horseshoe bit, and purchasing an XL Big Green Egg grill for the firefighters of Fire Station 15 at the Peachtree DeKalb Airport. Daniel collected donations from local business leaders to fund this project.
Daniel is a junior at St. Pius X High School, where he participates in track and field. He is currently working on obtaining his private pilot license. Daniel plans a career in international business incorporating his passion for flying upon completing college.
