Parks in DeKalb Offer A Wealth of Activities and Amenities


The DeKalb County Park System includes 114 parks consisting of 6,770 acres of parkland and open space, 82 playgrounds 2 golf courses, 77 tennis courts, 54 pavilions, 11 recreation facilities and more. The Garden in the Parks program promotes a healthy lifestyle through community gardens and a partnership with Park Pride provides volunteer coordination services and guidance. Camps, educational opportunities, team sports for children and adults and special needs activities offer an endless array of opportunities.

The City of Dunwoody has 1,070 acres of green space and 8 parks that include the Donaldson-Bannister Farm Historic Home, Dunwoody Nature Center at Dunwoody Park, the 102 acre Brookrun Park with dog and skate parks, and the Jim Benson Bike Trail at Windwood Hollow Park.
