The Elegant Elf Marketplace Rings in the 2014 Holiday Shop-ping Season

The fourth annual Elegant Elf Marketplace, presented by the Sandy Springs Society, will showcase more than 75 local and regional vendors presenting distinctive gifts and creations in jewelry, handcrafted fashions, fine crafts, home and garden, handbags, toys, and gourmet delights on Nov. 15-16 at 5920 Sandy Springs Circle.

Now in its fourth year, the stylish and festive high-end gift market is a destination event for hundreds of dis-cerning shoppers eager to jumpstart their holiday lists with the two-day shopping extravaganza. Shoppers can also treat themselves to a signature lunch at the Polar Express Café, purchase tickets for festive raffle packages, and enjoy seasonal music as they shop.

New this year is an expanded week-long community celebration themed “The Week of the Elf.” The Sandy Springs Society will kick off the festivities on Nov. 8 with an Elegant Elf Evening Extravaganza at Heri-tage Hall. In addition, dozens of local restaurants will commemorate the treasured event with a Savor Sandy Springs Restaurant Week offering special Elegant Elf menu items, and finally, the Society will host a Breakfast with Elves in a whimsical wonderland at Heritage Hall on Nov. 15.
“This is such a fun and festive shopping alternative to find something distinctive and special for everyone on your list, and simultaneously “shop for a cause,” said event co-chair Brenda Letzler of Sandy Springs.

All of the Elegant Elf proceeds go directly back to the community through philanthropic grants to more than 25 local nonprofits centered on education, the arts, environment, heritage preservation and social services.

The Elegant Elf Marketplace takes place Nov.15-16, Saturday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. at Lake Forest Elementary School, 5920 Sandy Springs Circle. $5 entrance fee and children 10 and under are admitted for free. For more information, visit www.sandyspringssociety.org.
